Megan Alderson, veterinarian and practice owner, and Shalsee Vigeant, BSc, DVM and TEDx Speaker, are passionate advocates and leaders of creating mindfulness within the veterinary industry. In this webinar, they discuss the importance of mindfulness in the workplace and what they have implemented into their clinics that have proven to cause positive change for their entire team.

Megan was driven to change how a general practice operated. Her aim was to provide an environment that was warm, inclusive, and a place where her team is proud to work, where clients loved to visit. Megan is well known for taking a holistic approach to the overall wellbeing of her team and clinic, all whilst leading change in the industry to improve mindfulness within the workplace.

Originating from Louisiana, Shalsee started her journey as a veterinary technician at the age of 16, where she truly fell in love with the industry. She worked as a technician for 10 years before following her dream of becoming a DVM. Shalsee now owns and operates a busy emergency hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, and remains one of New Zealand's thought leaders in making the veterinary industry a better place to work.
