It’s been a year of non-stop innovation here at ezyVet. We released a bunch of exciting new features over the past 12 months, drawing on customer feedback and real-world data to build a practice management solution that supports veterinary success.

1. We released AI-Assisted Notes

In 2025, we released the much-anticipated AI-Assisted Notes, a fully embedded tool that uses generative AI to help draft clinical documentation from your consult transcriptions.

AI-Assisted Notes drastically reduces the amount of time you spend on recordkeeping and documentation. Just hit record during your consultations and the AI will create a draft SOAP note based on the flow of conversation. You can review, edit, and approve the draft, with approved notes automatically syncing back to the patient’s clinical record. AI-Assisted Notes fits naturally into your existing workflows, making it a faster, smarter way of recording care.

2. We launched the Easier Note-Taking Experience

This year, we rolled out a redesigned note-taking experience to make clinical documentation easier than ever. This update gives you a more intuitive workflow that lets you stay focused on the patient - not the screen.

With the Easier Note-Taking Experience, you can view full clinical records while documenting, making it simple to reference past notes without juggling pop-ups. Clear visual cues help you instantly differentiate free-typed text from dropdown selections, autosave keeps your work safe at every step, and cleaner editing tools make updating notes effortless.

3. We rolled out Streamlined Estimates

We also launched Streamlined Estimates, a new feature that removes friction from one of the most time-consuming front-desk workflows. With a refreshed interface and smarter automation, creating accurate estimates now feels faster, clearer, and far less manual.

Streamlined Estimates brought several highly requested improvements:

  • Bundles compatible: Easily apply bundled items for a faster, more consistent workflow.
  • Autosave functionality: No more lost work - estimates save automatically.
  • Automated status updates: Keep track of changes effortlessly.

4. We expanded the ezyVet ecosystem

We continued to broaden the ezyVet ecosystem with a series of powerful new integrations, each designed to streamline your workflows and cut down on routine administrative tasks. 5. We made ezyVet Academy completely free

ezyVet Academy is now free

Every practice deserves access to training that builds confidence, strengthens skills, and empowers teams to get the most out of their software - and now, that learning is available for free!

ezyVet Academy is our online training platform designed to help every team member learn ezyVet with clarity and confidence. The library includes comprehensive, easy-to-follow courses on everything from managing appointments and clinical records to processing payments and automating workflows. Lessons are interactive, self-paced, and broken into manageable chunks, making it simple for your team to learn in the flow of work.

6. We made a bunch of small improvements, too!

Beyond the big releases, we introduced plenty of small but mighty improvements that make everyday tasks faster, clearer, and a little easier for your team.

  • Calendar update: We updated the ezyVet calendar with a modern, cleaner design while keeping all your familiar features and workflows intact. Plus, the calendar now displays canceled appointments, so you can quickly see why a slot opened up and take action to rebook - all without running extra reports.
  • Medication enhancements: You can now cancel medication refills directly, even when the clinical record is locked. Plus, medication tables now automatically include borders, making them easier to read and eliminating the need for manual formatting. Learn more!
  • Product list: It's now easier to search for products with key product data presented in a table that allows you to filter your search by product group or type. Plus, it's faster and more intuitive to set up a new product! Learn more!
  • Frequently used DX: No more scrolling through long diagnostics lists! Our new Frequently Used feature quickly shows the ten most commonly used diagnostic tests, tailored to the selected species.
  • CDR updates: You can now store your Pharmacy NPI and Pharmacy Permit Number in system settings. These fields will auto-populate your report, reducing manual edits and helping you stay compliant with reporting requirements. Learn more!

7. We continued to build on Vello

This year, Vello received a slew of exciting new ezyVet-ready features like refill requests, digital forms, and Recommended Care. These enhancements strengthen communication, improve compliance, and help keep clients connected throughout their pet’s health journey.
