What to expect once you have IDEXX VetConnect PLUS Reference Laboratories

With the new IDEXX VetConnect PLUS Reference Laboratories integration, the process of raising a diagnostic request is very similar to your legacy IDEXX integration.

  1. Select + Diagnostic Request.
  2. Add the requesting veterinarian, select the new supplier contact record of the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS Reference Laboratories integration, then select the diagnostic test and then select ADD.
  3. Next within the popup window select Order to finalize the diagnostic request.
  4. Once the request has been successfully sent to the IDEXX Reference Laboratories the status will update to SUBMITTED.
  5. Lastly, select the PDF icon to print the requisition form.

Once you have successfully raised a diagnostic request, you can now select the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS icon. This opens a pop-up window, where:

  • You can easily add additional diagnostic tests.
  • All additional diagnostic tests will be added to the one request.
  • Newly added diagnostic tests will be automatically invoiced.

The new IDEXX VetConnect PLUS VetLab Station integration provides all your diagnostic results in one convenient place. The new integration synchronizes, organizes, and displays your in-house diagnostics directly within ezyVet, enabling real-time care.

What to expect once you have upgraded to IDEXX VetConnect PLUS VetLab Station

With the new IDEXX VetConnect PLUS VetLab Station integration, the process of raising a diagnostic request is identical to your legacy IDEXX integration.

  1. Select + Diagnostic Request.
  2. Add the requesting veterinarian, select the new supplier contact record of the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS VetLab Station integration, then select the diagnostic test and select ADD.

  • Compare results over time with graphical views of a patient’s complete diagnostic history.

It's all conveniently located within ezyVet, eliminating the need to manage multiple platforms

  • Is IDEXX VetConnect PLUS available in all regions?

    • VetConnect PLUS accounts are available for customers in all regions, however, the currency of test prices are limited to those of Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.

      If your hospital is located outside of these countries, the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS team will assist with assigning your account to one of these currencies.

  • Is there a cost involved with setting up a IDEXX VetConnect PLUS account?

    • No, this is a complimentary service for IDEXX customers.

  • What information do we need before setting up the new IDEXX VetConnect PLUS integrations?

    • Before staff can use the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS - IVLS integration and IDEXX VetConnect PLUS - Reference integration within ezyVet, make sure that:

      1. Your site has a dedicated supplier contact record for the integration.
      2. You know the serial number of your VetLab Station.
      3. You have an IDEXX VetConnect PLUS account.
      4. You know the username and password of your IDEXX VetConnect PLUS account.
      5. If you have more than one IDEXX account, you will also need your LIMS ID.

      Note: If necessary, speak to IDEXX customer support to get your username and password information.

  • How do I get in touch with IDEXX to organize our account credentials?

    • To get a VetConnect PLUS account, you will need to speak to IDEXX customer support and:

      • Provide your IDEXX account number.
      • Provide the name and email address of the person at your organization who will configure and use the account.
      • Mention that your organization uses ezyVet.

  • When is the best time to upgrade to the IDEXX VetConnect PLUS integration?

    • We recommend that you complete the IDEXX integration upgrade outside of business hours for minimal disruption. However, you can upgrade your IDEXX integrations at any time, as you're able to continue to use the old IDEXX integrations until you disable them for use. You will no longer be able to use the old integration once the migration support tool has been run.

  • How long will the upgrade take?

    • IDEXX VetConnect PLUS: Reference Laboratories

      Based on the completed customer migration, the Reference Laboratories migration should take up to 15 minutes to set up.


      IDEXX VetConnect PLUS: Vetlab Station

      Based on the completed customer migration, the VetLab Station migration should take 30 minutes to an hour to set up.
