ezyVet can automatically update the costs of IDEXX Reference Laboratory products

You have the option of turning on cost updates via your IDEXX VetConnect PLUS – Reference integration within ezyVet.

How it works

When turned on, these settings will ensure that when the cost of IDEXX Reference Laboratory tests changes, the relevant products within ezyVet will change their cost price to match. If your products are not set to have ‘Fixed’ pricing, then your sell prices will also update based on the markup on the product. How to change your integration settings

  1. In the primary tabs, click the red ‘Admin’ tab.
  2. On the left-hand side in the dropdown select ‘integrations’
  3. On the left-hand side, you will see a search bar, type in ‘Reference’
  4. Select IDEXX VetConnect PLUS - Reference

If you would like ezyVet to automatically update these product cost prices, go to the integration and change these auto-update settings to ‘Yes’:

  • Update products for supplied diagnostics
  • Update product cost for supplied diagnostics

Click 'Save'.

Optional: Update cost price based on contract price

This refers to fixed ‘special’ (i.e. contract) discounts provided by IDEXX. This auto-update setting will only recognize this discounted cost price for sites in the USA, and only for tests requested within the last 12 months.

Optional: Cost updates require approval

When this is set to ‘YES’, price updates will show in the Jobs tab of the Dashboard. The system won’t automatically change the product prices until you’ve approved the relevant ‘jobs’. This is so that you can review the changes before the system makes them.
